Youth Camp Trailer

Had some struggles trying to figure how I wanted to make the trailer attractive and after considering for some time, I've concluded to go with this!

A fast-paced video to cater to the youth who has um, "fast reflexes" and generally like things that are vibrant. It was a step of improvement at the Adobe After Effects and thankfully, all went well. It was fun to play with the "3D" space lol.

Hope you like the trailer and if you're interested to know more about it, do drop by at my Youth's websites!

Polo Rocks!

As both bands - threeminutenights and the Asparagus Monkeys collaborated in the Polo Rocks competition, we've recorded their performance live at The Curve!

It was quite a challenge to record this performance as we could not exactly anticipate how long the song was and what sort of angles we could get with the risk of both cameras moving at the same time (which you could see at 3:14).

However, we're thankful it didn't rain or had any major technical difficulty at the performance :) We're glad that both bands made it this far and indeed, it was a great experience not only for them but for us as well.

P.S - Thank you Volkswagen for organizing such a great competition!

Notice: The video has been made private due to personal reasons. However, do look forward for it when it's recorded professionally! We're making certain discussions on producing a MV for it so let's see how this goes!

Adorable Kids!

That's the music video for Taska Precious Steps' Graduation & Concert 2010! Was an interesting experience as working with the kids sure isn't an easy task. Most of them were afraid and shy of the camera, so I couldn't get them to even wave "hi" at the camera until I got one of the teachers to help me out lol.

Nonetheless, they're really adorable. I hardly say these sort of things to kids but the kids from this event were really cute! And their smiles are the best, pure & sincere, no other ulterior elements to it :)

It was great to see how the families gave their support and be there for their children - truly a heart-warming sight. Looking forward to see how beautifully these children will grow up to be!

Just want to say thank you once more to Taska Precious Steps for this opportunity and hope someday, will be able to see these kids again!

The Ecoba Experience

As a church friend of ours had a gig in Ecoba, PJ Trade Centre, we decided to head over and showed our support for them. Their band is none other than the Asparagus Monkeys. Turns out, there were a few hiccups there and here but overall it was all good :)

However, due to the noise from the crowd (and the absence of our mic), please do bear with the background noise. For videos that you can hardly hear the singer's voice, there were some technical problems with the mic so we just had to make do.

Here's 2 of their best sets at that night:

There were other performers at that night too but there was one particular singer who caught our attention so we decided to record hers as well. None other than Anne Azureen, here's 2 of her videos that we've uploaded:

And so, we look forward to see what other projects we can go with them (do we smell a music video coming up? :D )

Who DID it? - Director's Comment

This exclusive video was produced by assisting a friend of mine, Ming Han, in his psychology subject project in HELP college. It took us 4 days to finish up this video!

It was really fun to work with him, not mentioning picking up some of his style of producing a video (i.e - the little jumpy parts of the video when the inspector was taking her pills) as well as knowing the other team members better too. Thanks to him, we got in the police car footage into the video haha. The cops were wondering what we're up to and thankfully, we turned the tables by having Ming Han inviting them to be part of the production too!

Not mentioning that they're psychology students, you can tell how seriously they took this whole thing! The costumes, script, location.. they really covered all the pre-production needed for a video *except for the storyboard :P*

A personal thank you for this opportunity - Ming han, Melissa, Rachel, Adeline, Amanda & Jeremy as well as thanking God for making all of this to happen!

P.S - Just in case for you guys who didn't know, Ming Han is one heck of a singer from his band, threeminutenights. Check him out HERE! It's a collaboration of him together with the Asparagus Monkeys :)
